This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.

Responsibilities- Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
- Acceleration, shock, and vibration analysis
- Finite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to tests
- Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
- Support configuration development and trade studies of separation mechanisms.
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering
- 3+ years of experience in structural analysis of space/aerospace vehicles/structures/mechanism's
- Solid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentals
- Passion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validation
- Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics‑based analytical methods (hand calculations, in‑house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)
- Spacecraft Mechanism's/systems analysis
- Hyperworks, NASTRAN, ANSYS, Abaqus and Matlab proficiency
- LS‑Dyna
- Fatigue and Fracture Analysis
Base Pay Range: CA applicants $99,201.00 – $; CO applicants $90,934.00 – $; WA applicants $99,201.00 – $. Other site ranges may differ.

Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. - Required for certain Job Profiles:
Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre‑employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
