Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Merritt Island, Florida. This role will involve managing various payroll processes to ensure compliance and accuracy in employee compensation. The position begins with standard hours for 1-2 weeks, transitioning to part-time hours (20-30 hours per week) thereafter.

Responsibilities:

- Handle full-cycle payroll processing for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Manage payroll for unionized employees, adhering to specific regulations and agreements.

- Process garnishments and other deductions in compliance with applicable laws.

- Utilize ADP systems to input and manage payroll data efficiently.

- Verify employee hours and ensure accurate compensation calculations.

- Ensure compliance with I-9 requirements and other employment documentation.

- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and inquiries.

- Maintain records and generate reports related to payroll activities.

- Support part-time and standard payroll operations as required.

- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information. Requirements - Proven experience in payroll processing, including full-cycle payroll.

- Familiarity with payroll systems such as ADP.

- Knowledge of payroll regulations, including union-specific requirements and garnishments.

- Strong understanding of I-9 compliance and employment documentation.

- Ability to handle payroll for organizations with 101-500 employees.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Effective communication skills for addressing payroll queries and discrepancies.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools for recordkeeping and reporting.
