Job Summary Details

A Floor Technician maintains clean, safe, and attractive floors in commercial/industrial settings using specialized machines for sweeping, mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, and shampooing carpets, plus reporting damage and following strict safety protocols for various surfaces like tile, wood, and carpet.

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 2 years experiences required
• No high school diploma, GED or college degree required

• Customer service experience
• 1 year of similar work experience

• Cleaning & Maintenance:
  Sweeping, dust mopping, damp mopping, vacuuming, carpet extraction, bonneting, and spot cleaning.
• Restoration:
  Stripping old finishes, applying new wax/sealers, buffing, and burnishing hard floors.
• Equipment Operation:
  Safely using floor scrubbers, buffers, extractors, and other specialized tools.
• Safety:
  Adhering to all safety procedures, handling chemicals responsibly, and setting up wet floor signs.
• Reporting:
  Identifying and reporting floor damage, maintenance needs, or hazards to supervisors.

May involve cleaning walls, windows, baseboards, or post-construction cleanup.
