This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will support the design, development and fabrication of space launch vehicles and components to support human spaceflight programs. This is a hands‑on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills.

Team Focus & Domain Expertise

The JARVIS Team focuses on welding & fabrication, machining, final integration and assembly and testing of large tooling, prototypes, landing platforms and other launch infrastructure. We are the premier Manufacturing And Development TEAM on the Space Coast.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze complex drawings to determine build plan, fabrication challenges, and manufacturability across multiple disciplines including welding, machining, and assembly.
  • Evaluate manufacturing schedule and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to meet customer requirements
  • Perform shop order release/closure in MRP System and reconcile parts
  • Multitask across simultaneous builds
  • Provide detailed status of work in progress, material availability, and communicate constraints to schedule
  • Prepare work orders and internal tickets to produce subassemblies, kit and transport material, begin weld, waterjet and machining subtasks, and final transport
  • Coordinate with the warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics and the program
  • Serve as primary point of contact to customer for status, escalations, and last‑minute changes
  • Coordinate across suppliers for best results and pursue new suppliers as necessary
  • Work to expedite any material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas
  • Collaborate with weld, machining, metrology, and assembly labor to keep build plans on schedule and remove roadblocks.
  • Monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line and partner with Manufacturing/Operations to ensure work completes on time to schedule.
  • May be required to interface with departments throughout the company
  • Must possess good organizational skills, the ability to work well with others, good decision‑making skills, and the ability to think outside the box
Qualifications
  • 20+ years maintenance, mechanic, machining, welding, waterjet, technical assembly, and/or project management
  • Experience with activities related to planning and/or scheduling
  • Experience with Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP)
  • Experience working with a cross functional team
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office, MES experience with MRP execution desired.
  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills
  • Demonstrates understanding and can apply continuous improvement terminology/tools: LEAN, Six Sigma principles/DFSS/Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen is highly desirable
  • Highly detail-oriented communications and record‑keeping skills
  • Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
