Sea Ray​/BIMC - Assembler​/Fitter​/Installer

BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY STATEMENT

The Assembler/Fitter/Installer will perform a wide variety of tasks in a large yacht manufacturing facility. Assembly tasks may include gunking, glassing, assembling, fitting and installing.

• Responsible for installing electrical bilge, deck, dash, finish cabinets, floors, cockpits, benches, and any other installation tasks as assigned.
• Install the front‑of‑the‑line interior work with emphasis on the final finish elements and cosmetic aspects of the boat.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2‑3 years of boat building experience preferred.
• Fitting/installing experience.
• Working knowledge of hand tools.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Ability to multi‑task.
• Ability to read and understand prints and production schedules.
• Ability to work with suspended loads and heavy lifting.

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to adapt to changing requirements in a positive and proactive way.
• Ability to interact professionally and effectively with all levels within the organization.
• Ability to work in a dusty and hot environment.
• Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal.
• Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the business requirements.

• Must possess the desire and ambition to work safely at all times and report hazards to their supervisor immediately.
• Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
• Must be able to understand and complete the OSHA questionnaire, pass spirometer test and physically wear a respirator where required.
• Must be able to physically handle the requirements of the job, including lifting, bending, climbing stairs, standing on feet for long periods, etc.
• Must be able to understand all safety related documents and worksite rules and practices, equipment operating instructions, documented safety management systems, and health and safety requirements, including General Safety Rules and Individual Safety Commitment.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $20.60 to $25.05 per hour. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
