Rigging Specialist
Assembles rigging to lift and move equipment or material to construction project. Responsibilities include loading, transporting, and unloading equipment, selecting and attaching rigging components, directing crane operators, setting up hoisting equipment, tying knots, assembling and disassembling cranes, splicing cables, directing workers in machinery hoisting, performing minor maintenance, and observing safety rules. Qualifications may require a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience.
Job requirements include coordinating movements, applying shop mathematics, planning work, and comparing sizes and shapes. Physical requirements include standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, handling, and fingering.
