Associate – Inventory I – Shift A (M-F 6am–4:30pm) - Merritt Island, FL
Join our team in a dynamic fulfillment environment where you’ll play a key role in ensuring accurate inventory, timely shipments, and continuous improvement of warehouse processes.
Responsibilities- Evaluate, monitor, and elevate roadblocks that may lead to downstream defects; support root‑cause analysis and provide detail with problem‑solving skills.
- Operate heavy equipment including forklifts to move parts and materials throughout the facility safely and efficiently.
- Receive, unload, and inspect inbound shipments; verify goods against standard operating procedures.
- Perform quality‑control checks, review part‑number requirements, and process items according to SOPs.
- Document receipts and upload data to the inventory management system, ensuring work orders are fully closed out.
- Enter data into inventory tools, navigate modules, and read information needed for fulfillment tasks.
- Identify appropriate packaging for parts and wrap/store them correctly at every stage of the workflow.
- Sort, stage, and move packages, crates, or containers; secure them to prevent loss.
- Label and mark parts, ensuring identifiers outlined in the SOP are applied for traceability.
- Assign and audit storage locations, following SOPs for individual or bulk parts.
- Minimum 2 years of fulfillment center operations experience, including receiving and inventory functions.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols, PPE use, and participation in regular safety training.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail, dedication to world‑class quality, and a positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills in a highly technical environment.
- Mathematical skills: calculation of percentages, areas, volumes, and unit‑of‑measure conversions.
- Analytical skills: define problems, collect relevant data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture.
- Preferred: degree in Supply Chain Management or APICS certification;
Lean Six Sigma certification; aerospace industry experience.
