Are you an experienced Children’s Social Worker seeking a new opportunity with a supportive, forward-thinking local authority?

We’re partnering with several progressive councils across the UK who are looking to strengthen their frontline teams with passionate and skilled social workers. Whether your background is in Safeguarding, Child Protection, Assessment, or Looked After Children — this could be your next step.

About the Role
  • Work within a dedicated children’s services team, managing a varied caseload of assessments, child protection work, and care planning.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children and families to achieve better long-term outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with partner agencies, including health, education, and police, to safeguard children effectively.
  • Benefit from consistent supervision, clear structures, and a management team that values reflective practice and professional growth.
What’s on Offer
  • Competitive Rates:
    Above-market hourly rates, paid weekly.
  • Manageable Caseloads:
Work within a local authority that prioritises quality over quantity.
  • Hybrid Working:
Flexible arrangements depending on team needs.
  • Stability:
Long-term contracts available with scope for extension or permanent transition.
  • Professional Support:
Dedicated consultant, streamlined payroll, and a simple timesheet system.
Requirements
  • Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualifying experience within children’s services (Assessment, CP, CIN, LAC, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding legislation and multi-agency working.
  • Commitment to improving outcomes for children and families.

If you’re a committed Children’s Social Worker looking for your next opportunity in a supportive, progressive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
