Maintenance Operative Part Time

We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Operative to join our team at Cygnet Ty Alarch.

Ty Alarch is a six bed community rehabilitation (level
1) service for women who have been able to progress through the hospital pathway at Cygnet St Teilo House. We also accept referrals from other high dependency inpatient rehabilitation services as well as directly from the community. This service is now open and accepting referrals.

• You ll be working 16 hours per week.
• Provide a comprehensive maintenance & repair service
• Carry out a range of tasks including basic joinery, plumbing, painting & general building work
• Maintain equipment, services & vehicles
• Comply with safe working practices & report faulty equipment and potential hazards
• Travel to other sites & on occasions be on call to carry out emergency repairs outside of normal working hours
• Check the fire alarm points weekly, including fire exits, door retaining devices & fire emergency lights.

• Experienced in a similar role, or have worked in a self-employed capacity in recent years
• Willing to travel & hold a full valid driving licence
• Able to communicate at all levels & record detailed, accurate maintenance information
• Skilled at DIY & general maintenance
• Preferably experienced in the electrical/plumbing/construction industry
• Friendly, conscientious & an excellent team member with a positive attitude.
