Job Title: Mechanical Site Supervisor – New Build Developments

Location: Bucks | Berks | Surrey | Herts | London

Salary: £40-60k per annum (competitive, based on experience)

Contract Type: Full‑time, Permanent

We’re seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to oversee mechanical works on residential and commercial new build developments. You’ll be responsible for supervising on‑site installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, health & safety standards, and managing subcontractors to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

• Supervise all mechanical installations on‑site.
• Coordinate with project managers and other trades.
• Monitor H&S compliance and site documentation.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and to specification.
• Install all forms of domestic plumbing and/or heating systems neatly, tidily, and professionally with minimal supervision.
• Use contract information, follow design and specification information, and install in full compliance with manufacturers’ details, gas‑safe regulations and recognised standards of good practice.
• Deal with company material supplies, treat them carefully to ensure they are undamaged and kept safe; check supplier deliveries, report shortages and return paperwork.
• Take materials from storage on site to point of installation, use them carefully, prevent waste, and return any unused materials to safe storage.
• Drive a company van to and from site, complete with tools; carry other staff as passengers if required.
• Receive direction and follow instruction from Directors, Contract Managers and Supervisors; provide feedback when there is a conflict in information.
• Predict future material, tools and plant requirements and report to management.
• Review progress, plan workloads and manage time efficiently to ensure good service and minimise expense.
• Work closely with other trades to ensure installations fit into the fabric and are coordinated with other trades.
• Highlight and manage risk by following health and safety plans.
• Ensure the company vehicle is roadworthy, well‑maintained, kept safe, clean and regularly serviced.
• Maintain tools and plant, ensuring they are kept safe, clean, well‑maintained, regularly serviced, tested and calibrated.
• Attend site as directed on normal working days, during working hours, and be punctual.
• Strive to provide a high level of service, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

• Proven experience in mechanical site supervision.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Certified in SSSTS/SMSTS and hold a CSCS card.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
