Mobile Electrical Engineer

Role Purpose

Electrical Maintenance Engineer to carry out PPM and reactive activities across commercial premises located within the M25.

• Carry out reactive maintenance repairs and assess/obtain required parts.
• Perform PPM tasks such as emergency light testing, fire alarm testing, distribution board checks, RCBO/RCD testing, fan coil servicing, AC/AHU filter changes, tap temperature testing and flushing.
• Carry out electrical works: fault finding & repair, wiring, door entry, auto‑door control, lighting, BMS controls, immersion heater, basic plumbing, carpentry and fabric skills.
• Provide detailed reports for remedial works and maintain on‑site log books.
• Complete electrical testing, certifications, method statements and risk assessments.
• Work flexible hours, out‑of‑hours emergency cover and standby duties.
• Maintain tools, adhere to QA and health & safety procedures.
• Assist other trades when required.

• NVQ 3 Electrical Installation C&G or equivalent.
• Level 2 and 3 Diploma Electrical Installation C&G 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or 2330 Levels 2 & 3 C&G 2391/2394/2395 18th edition certificate.
• IPAF 3a/3b and PASMA certificates.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial electrical systems, HVAC and building fabric.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of health & safety regulations.
• Good written and verbal communication, ability to work independently.
• Smart, presentable appearance.
• Availability for call‑outs and flexible shifts.

• Overtime: 1.5× weekdays, 2× weekends, day in lieu on bank holidays.
• Standby rate £15 per day (£50 on bank holidays).
