We are seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Senior Staff Accountant to join a growing organization within the construction industry. This role will play a critical part in supporting daily accounting operations with a strong emphasis on job cost accounting, project profitability, financial reporting, and operational support
.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong accounting foundation, experience working in fast‑paced environments, and hands‑on exposure to construction accounting processes. • Manage and support day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial activities.
• Perform job cost accounting and monitor project budgets and profitability.
• Analyze project costs and assist with cost tracking and reporting.
• Process and reconcile payroll‑related entries, benefits, and liabilities.
• Calculate, reconcile, and maintain commission reporting records.
• Assist with revenue recognition and cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking.
• Prepare journal entries and complete account reconciliations accurately and timely.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Prepare and assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Maintain organized accounting records and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Partner with operations and leadership teams to support business objectives and financial planning.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred.
• 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets

• Experience with job‑cost accounting and project‑based financial tracking.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• High attention to detail with excellent communication skills.

• Prior experience within the construction industry strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of WIP (Work‑in‑Progress) accounting
  , overbilling, and under billing schedules.
• Experience using accounting platforms such as Quick Books Online, , Gusto, or similar systems
