We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys improving processes, mentoring staff, and partnering with executive leadership to drive business performance.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and financial management, leadership experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and financial reporting
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Analyze financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory reporting obligations
- Coordinate internal and external audits and serve as the primary contact for auditors
- Manage banking relationships and financial institution partnerships
- Oversee fixed asset accounting and depreciation schedules
- Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, accounting processes, and financial systems
- Assist with risk management initiatives and insurance oversight
- Develop, mentor, and lead the accounting team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting experience
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance requirements
- Experience working with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
- Manufacturing industry experience preferred
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- High-visibility role with direct exposure to leadership
