Under the general supervision of the Associate Chief Financial Officer, the Substitute Coordinator and Accounting Specialist coordinates substitute staffing services and performs a variety of accounting and financial support functions. This position ensures adequate staffing coverage when teachers are absent and handles accounting duties, including reconciliations, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable support, financial record maintenance, audit preparation, and reporting. The role provides excellent customer service.

Full Time, 12‑Month Exempt

$26.00 – $31.98 per hour, placement based on education, experience, and certification.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of progressively responsible clerical, administrative support, staffing coordination, payroll, accounting, or customer service experience.
• Experience using computerized databases, scheduling systems, payroll systems, or financial software.
• Any equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities may be considered.

• Experience using school absence management systems such as Frontline or Red Rover.
• Experience using time management systems such as Time Clock Plus or similar.
• Previous school experience as a substitute coordinator.
• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.

• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints (IVP) Level 1 fingerprint card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
