Position

Summary

The Inside Sales Support Specialist I provides foundational administrative, customer service, and front-office support to the sales organization by executing established processes related to order entry, reporting, customer communication, and office operations. This role focuses on accuracy, responsiveness, and adherence to defined procedures while supporting the efficient flow of sales and front-office operations. The Specialist I works under close guidance and does not exercise independent decision-making authority.

Essential

Functions
  • Accurately process and enter customer and distributor orders in accordance with established procedures.
  • Respond to routine customer inquiries related to order status, product availability, and basic account information.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer and order records within CRM and order management systems.
  • Generate standard daily and monthly sales and activity reports as directed.
  • Assist with inventory overage tracking and report discrepancies to leadership.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to support timely order fulfillment.
  • Document customer interactions and transactions according to defined standards.
  • Assist with special projects and administrative tasks as assigned.
Front Desk & Office Support
  • Staff the front desk as assigned, serving as the first point of contact for visitors and callers.
  • Greet and direct guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls to appropriate departments.
  • Receive, log, and distribute incoming packages and deliveries.
  • Restock office or departmental items received and notify appropriate teams of deliveries.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and reception area.

Minimum Qualifications Education

High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience

1–2 years of experience in customer service, reception, order processing, or administrative support.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and email communication.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Professional communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting or standing at a front desk or workstation.
  • Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate computers, phones, and office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, both in person and by phone.
  • Ability to receive, lift, and carry incoming packages and deliveries up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to view computer monitors and detailed reports for extended periods.
