PositionSummary
The Lot Attendant Manager oversees the daily operations of the dealership lot, ensuring all new and pre-owned inventory is clean, organized, and displayed to dealership standards. This role supervises the lot attendant team, coordinates with sales and service departments, and maintains an efficient workflow for vehicle movement and presentation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and skilled in team leadership.
Lot& Inventory Management
- Oversee the layout, organization, and cleanliness of all dealership lots.
- Coordinate all vehicle movement including staging, parking, and repositioning inventory for sales needs.
- Ensure all vehicles are photo-ready and properly merchandised (stickers, hang tags, window labels, etc.).
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Manage, train, and schedule all lot attendants, porters, and detail staff (as assigned).
- Ensure staff follow safety protocols and dealership procedures.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance check-ins.
- Oversee vehicle washes, interior cleaning, fueling, battery checks, and lot-ready preparation.
- Inspect vehicles to ensure they meet dealership presentation standards.
- Coordinate with the service department to ensure timely reconditioning and maintenance completion.
- Work closely with sales managers to ensure vehicles are staged appropriately for promotions, events, and daily sales needs.
- Support delivery logistics for customer purchases, including staging and final presentation.
- Assist with dealer trades, inventory transfers, and transportation scheduling.
- Enforce consistent adherence to OSHA and dealership safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free lot environment for customers and staff.
- Ensure all team members properly operate dealership equipment and vehicles.
- 2+ years of automotive dealership lot or inventory experience (management preferred).
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors and on feet for extended periods.
- Frequent interaction with sales, service, and management teams.
