Automotive Service Technician

Role Overview:

The General Service Technician performs non-technical automotive services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and wheel balancing. Responsibilities include driving customers, picking up parts, maintaining shop cleanliness, and adhering to safety protocols. The role involves operating company vehicles for transportation and inspections, documenting vehicle conditions, and following safety and company policies.

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain or hold a State Inspector License.
• Understanding of basic vehicle components and mechanical systems.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions.
• Comfort working in varied environmental conditions with exposure to dust, fumes, and noise.

• Perform tire mounting, balancing, and rotation.
• Conduct oil changes and basic vehicle services.
• Inspect vehicles for safety issues, documenting conditions accurately.
• Maintain cleanliness of the shop and work environment.
• Safely operate company vehicles for transportation and errands.
• Conduct safety and emission inspections ethically and follow guidelines.
