Seeking an experienced Site Coordinator & Construction Manager to act as the Owner’s Representative on a major copper mining development project in Arizona
. This is a high-profile leadership role responsible for overseeing contractor performance, ensuring safe and efficient construction delivery, and driving alignment across engineering, procurement, and construction teams within an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) environment.
- Act as the Owner’s Representative on site, ensuring contractors deliver works safely, on time, and in line with design, cost, and schedule requirements
- Lead and facilitate integrated planning and coordination between engineering, procurement, and construction teams
- Promote a "one team" IPD culture focused on shared accountability for safety, quality, and performance
- Provide functional oversight of contractor field leadership and Owner’s site-based personnel
- Monitor construction progress, productivity, and execution quality across multiple work fronts
- Review and manage contractor change orders, identifying cost and schedule risks early
- Drive strong safety leadership and ensure compliance with all site safety systems and procedures
- Coordinate and resolve on-site technical, construction, and logistical issues in real time
- Support commissioning and startup coordination activities as required
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Project Director and senior stakeholders
- Ensure robust documentation, reporting, and project controls are maintained
- Champion risk identification and mitigation strategies across all site activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, or related discipline
- 15–20+ years of construction experience in mining, heavy industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Proven experience in site leadership or Owner’s Representative roles
- Strong background in construction execution, contractor management, and project delivery
- Experience with project controls tools such as Primavera P6 or similar scheduling systems
- Solid understanding of contract administration, cost control, and risk management
- Strong communication skills with ability to lead multi-disciplinary, multi-contractor teams
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership in complex field environments
- Valid driver’s licence and ability to travel and work on active construction sites
- Direct experience working within Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) or collaborative delivery models
- Previous involvement in commissioning, startup, or ramp-up of mining or processing facilities
- Experience on copper mining or large-scale base metals projects
- Strong field-based leadership background with high technical credibility
- Familiarity with complex stakeholder environments including EPCM and Owner teams
