Construction Estimator

You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for construction projects. This role analyzes project plans and specifications, evaluates costs for labor and materials, and collaborates with internal teams and subcontractors to support successful bids and project execution.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor pricing
• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure a complete understanding of scope
• Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers
• Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis with a high level of accuracy
• Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Collaborate with project managers and pre-construction teams during bid preparation and handoff
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
• Assist in preparing bid proposals, presentations, and supporting documentation
• Track historical cost data and maintain estimating databases
• Participate in project post-bid reviews to improve estimating accuracy

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, related field and/or relevant work experience
• 5+ years of experience in construction estimating
• Experience with commercial and/or residential construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, Plan Swift, Pro Est)
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
