Healthcare Construction Project Manager

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Healthcare Construction Project Manager for a growing construction and restoration organization launching a new healthcare containment division. This is a Direct Hire, onsite/field-based opportunity serving healthcare facilities throughout the Phoenix Valley, Arizona. The position requires regular travel between project sites throughout the Valley, with the employee's daily commute beginning and ending at home.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on construction professional to help build a brand-new healthcare containment division from the ground up. The Healthcare Construction Project Manager will oversee projects from estimating and scheduling through execution while working directly with hospital stakeholders, general contractors, and field crews in active healthcare environments. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, comfortable wearing multiple hats, and motivated by the opportunity to eventually lead the healthcare containment business line as the division expands.

Competitive base salary of $65,, depending on experience and healthcare construction background. Additional 2% revenue profit-share opportunity, with estimated earnings potential of approximately $20,. Clear long-term growth path toward leading and managing the Healthcare Containment Division. Hands-on training and development for candidates with strong construction experience who are motivated to learn healthcare containment, including STARC systems and hospital infection-control requirements.

Manage healthcare construction and containment projects from start to finish, including estimating, scheduling, labor coordination, project execution, and adherence to hospital infection-control requirements. Set up, install, maintain, and coordinate containment and temporary wall systems within active hospital environments, including physically assisting with installations when needed. Communicate and coordinate with hospital Facilities Managers, infection-control/ICRA nurses, RBD representatives, general contractors, field crews, and other project stakeholders.

Maintain required containment standards, respond to inspections, and promptly coordinate corrections or adjustments throughout each project. Develop and maintain strong relationships with general contractors and healthcare clients while partnering internally to identify opportunities for additional containment business. Help establish the processes, operating standards, workflows, and reputation of a growing healthcare containment division.

Construction project management, assistant project management, restoration, field supervision, or similar hands-on construction experience; healthcare construction experience is highly preferred but not required. Knowledge of ICRA, PCRA, hospital infection-control requirements, and healthcare construction environments is strongly preferred, with the ability and willingness to learn these requirements for candidates coming from adjacent construction backgrounds. Experience with STARC Systems/STARC walls, plastic containment, temporary wall systems, or similar containment solutions is highly desirable but can be learned on the job.
