Anthology traces its origins to 1990, when an ASU student started self publishing a digest poetry magazine. Since then, Anthology has become one of the largest literary nonprofits in Arizona, serving the greater Phoenix community through literary programs geared towards all ages and interests.
About The EventThe Sonoran Writers Conference is a one-day gathering featuring expert panels, workshops, and presentations on craft, publishing, and marketing. The event supports writers at all stages—from first-timers to seasoned professionals—and is produced by Anthology, Inc., a 501(c)(3) literary nonprofit dedicated to promoting literary arts in the greater Phoenix community.
Volunteer Roles May Include- Greeting attendees and assisting with check-in
- Helping manage panel rooms and speakers
- Providing directions and information to guests
- Supporting logistics, setup, and teardown
- Assisting with student check-in and special sessions
- Helping maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment
Creative, detail-oriented individuals who love books and people—whether you’re a writer yourself, a student, or simply enthusiastic about literary arts. No prior conference experience required! You’ll receive training and support from the event team.
