Ironwood Church is looking for a Worship Pastor who can genuinely lead people toward Jesus while building and shepherding a highly-skilled worship ministry. This is a strong church with healthy leadership, a growing congregation, talented volunteers, and real momentum – but they are looking for more than musical excellence. They want a pastor with conviction, warmth, courage, and the ability to cultivate both spiritual depth and creative energy in the room.

The right leader will thrive here if they love building teams, leading worship with authenticity, and helping people enjoy Jesus together.

• Pastoral Leader: Leads worship as a shepherd, not just a musician. This person helps people love Jesus, models genuine devotion, and forms volunteers as disciples, not just band members. This is the biggest thing Ironwood is looking for.
• Musical Leader: Strong enough musically to earn trust in a skilled room. They can lead vocally, guide a band, shape arrangements, make song calls, and create worship moments that feel alive rather than programmed.
• Courageous Builder: Brings “say it with your chest” leadership. They make hard calls, develop people, address what needs to be addressed, and build a healthier worship culture without becoming harsh.
• Selfless Developer: Builds a team that goes beyond themselves. They recruit, audition, shepherd, empower, and release worship leaders, musicians, and MDs so Ironwood has a plurality of strong voices.
• Clear Communicator: Communicates with clarity, warmth, and follow‑through. They are direct without being careless, organized without being rigid, and trustworthy with volunteers, staff, and production.

Ironwood Church is a gospel‑centered church in Mesa, Arizona with around 2,400 people gathering each weekend. Originally planted in 2009 as Second Mile Church, the church later became Redemption Gateway as part of Redemption Church before relaunching as Ironwood Church in 2024. While the name changed, the heartbeat stayed the same: helping people become mature disciples of Jesus in the everyday realities of life.
