We are a private dental practice and are excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Dental Assistant. This full-time position is designed for a bilingual (English/Spanish) professional eager to advance their career in dental healthcare within a supportive and dynamic environment. Located in Arizona, our practice relies on the dedication and expertise of our team to provide superior oral health services.
This role involves advanced chairside assisting, with skills in implants, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic restorative dentistry. This position is on-site at our clinic and is not remote.
As the Lead Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our clinical operations. Your expertise will support dental procedures and enhance the team’s capabilities through leadership and training. Fluency in both English and Spanish will help ensure our diverse patient base understands their treatment plans.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist with various dental procedures, including implant surgery, oral surgeries, endodontics, and cosmetic and restorative procedures.
- Prepare dental operatories with the necessary instruments and equipment for scheduled procedures.
- Anticipate the needs of the dentist during procedures to maintain a smooth clinical flow.
- Provide leadership and direction to other dental assistants and externs, fostering a professional environment and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols.
- Enhance communication within the team and ensure coordination between clinical staff and front office.
- Deliver compassionate patient care, assist in patient education, and communicate with patients in both English and Spanish.
- Take responsibility for dental imaging and documentation, ensuring clinical notes and records are accurate and well-maintained.
- Maintain stringent sterilization and infection control standards in line with OSHA and CDC guidelines, including management of instruments and equipment.
- Fluency in English and Spanish
, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages. - At least 3 years of experience in dental assisting, with preference for candidates who have held a lead assistant role.
- Extensive experience in assisting with implants, oral surgery, endodontics, and cosmetic restorative procedures.
- A current radiology certification in Arizona or the ability to obtain it promptly if not already certified.
- Demonstrated knowledge of surgical setups, asepsis, and procedure-specific requirements.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
