Dental Hygienist Highland Village Family Dentistry Highland Village Family Dentistry is excited to announce a new opening for a part-time Dental Hygienist. This position is an excellent opportunity for dedicated dental professionals looking to bring their expertise to our friendly and professional team. Located in the heart of our community, Highland Village Family Dentistry prides itself on offering top-notch dental care to our diverse clientele.

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about dental health and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.

Please note, this is an on-site position requiring the hygienist to be present at our local office. The role is structured for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 AM to 5 PM, making it an ideal fit for professionals seeking to balance work with other commitments.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial dental assessments and prepare patient for dental examinations.
  • Perform routine dental cleanings and assist in the management of oral hygiene practices.
  • Apply preventive materials to the teeth (e.g., sealants and fluorides).
  • Take dental radiographs (x-rays) and provide proper care and maintenance of dental equipment.
  • Educate patients on appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing and nutritional counseling).
  • Assess patient oral hygiene problems or needs and maintain health records.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of relevant experience in a dental office.
  • Proficiency in using dental software and computerized office applications.
  • Strong understanding of dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members.
