Social Media Content Creator

Applications are being accepted for the position of Social Media Content Creator at the East Valley Institute of Technology Main St campus. This is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position. Business hours are Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

The Social Media Content Creator position is responsible for developing, producing, and executing engaging social media content that elevates the EVIT brand and supports student recruitment, enrollment awareness, and community engagement. This role serves as a creative storyteller and strategic content producer, translating EVIT s mission and hands-on learning environment into authentic digital content that resonates with teens, young adults, and the broader community.

This position requires independent judgment, creativity, and discretion in content development, platform strategy, and brand representation. The Social Media Content Creator works collaboratively with administration, instructors, students, and the Marketing team while exercising professional autonomy in content planning, creation, and execution.

Job Type: Full Time, Exempt

Salary: $58,000 - $71,920. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education and like experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
• Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience creating and managing social media and digital content.
• Demonstrated experience creating original social media content for professional, educational, or organizational accounts; portfolio or examples of media content required.
• Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to adapt tone, voice, and messaging across multiple platforms and audiences.
• Solid understanding of social media culture, platform dynamics, and content that resonates with Gen Z and young adult audiences.
• Proficiency using major social media platforms, including Instagram, Tik Tok, You Tube, Facebook, Linked In, and X (Twitter).
• Knowledge of audience engagement strategies, short-form video trends, and digital content best practices.
• Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and execute content initiatives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Basic photo and video capture and editing skills; smartphone-based production is acceptable, with an emphasis on authentic, real-world content rather than highly produced media.

• Experience working in education, workforce development, or youth-focused marketing.
• Experience telling real, human-centered stories rather than highly scripted or commercialized content.
• Interest in skilled trades, technical education, and alternative career pathways.

• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Level I IVP fingerprint card.
• Possession of a valid Arizona driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance is required. Employees must be able to operate a motor vehicle safely.
