Requirements- A.A. Degree or 60 Undergraduate Credit Hours from Accredited College or University, or Pass Para-Professional Test in Accordance with No Child Left Behind Act.

- Ability to physically move about in classroom and assist with monitoring and supervising students.
- Able to move and lift moderately heavy weight.
- Participate in in-service training(s) presented by the school and consultants to further advance knowledge and professional development.
- Establish and maintain rapport with students, administrators, teachers and parents.
- Assist with preparation of instructional aides, bulleting boards, and classroom materials.
- Setup and store audio-visual equipment as required for classroom use.
- Assist teacher(s) in daily achieving instructional objectives with students.
- Provide additional help and academic reinforcement to students in small groups as necessary.
- Work with individual students requiring special attention, enrichment work, and remedial help.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teacher.
- Help teachers perform drill work, reading and storytelling.
- Assist teachers with checking notebooks and homework, supervising test, correcting papers and providing feedback to students.
- Monitor students during non-instructional classroom duties including snack breaks, playground breaks, lunch, assemblies, library work and other campus activities as necessary.
- Supervise small groups of students during field trips.
- Complete all special assignments and requests in a timely manner keeping appropriate personnel advised of progress.
- Request additional help and information as required.
