Part-time Adult Ed Welding Instructor

Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Ed Welding Instructor for our 1601 W. Main Street, Mesa AZ 85201 campus location.

This is a part-time, 10 month position working Mon‑Thurs, 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm.

Under general supervision, the Welding teacher will prepare students to acquire welding techniques and be product verified with weldment testing. Students will develop a working knowledge of blueprint reading, and the welding processes for Shielded Metal ARC Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), Flux Cored ARC Welding (FCAW), and Gas Tungsten ARC Welding (GTAW) with the use of thermal cutting equipment.

Students will learn about the tools and equipment for the welding trade.

Salary: This is an hourly position with a range between approximately $34.46 - $52.25 an hour. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.

• 3 years of verified occupational experience in the specific trade to be taught
• Welding Instructors must have AWS Certification
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.
