Adult Basic Education Tutor - Evenings

Applications are being accepted for the position of Adult Basic Education Tutor at our 1601 West Main Street campus in Mesa, AZ 85201.

This is a part-time position, working Monday - Thursday 6:00 - 8:30 p.m.

Under limited supervision, the Adult Basic Education Tutor will help teach academic subjects such as:
English, Mathematics, Science, and History to adult age students. The Adult Basic Education Tutor will meet regularly with students who need help academically and help the students improve their study skills, organizational skills, test taking skills, note taking skills and time management skills. This position may teach in a classroom setting, study room, library, online or a hybrid setting. The ultimate goal of the tutor is to help improve the student's academic success and help them reach their full potential.

Part Time, 10 hours per week. This is a grant funded position.

$23.00 per hour

• High School Diploma Education or equivalent.
• Strong passion for helping others.
• Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Prints IVP Level 1 fingerprint card - Must be obtained prior to start date.
• Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

• Experience tutoring/mentoring adults who are academically challenged and/or at-risk learners.
• Foster and/or HSE/GED background
