ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Instruct students by lecturing, demonstrating, modeling, and using audio‑visual aids and other materials to supplement presentations;
• Prepare course objectives and outlines for a course of study following curriculum guidelines or state and school requirements;
• Prepare, administer, and correct tests and record results;
• Assign lessons, correct papers, and manage classroom activities;
• Teach rules of conduct, maintain order in the classroom and on school grounds;
• Counsel pupils on adjustment and academic problems, discuss pupils’ academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents;
• Keep attendance and grade records as required by school;
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university and a valid teaching certification.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Regular attendance following a designated work schedule;
• Ability to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities;
• Ability to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.
