School Psychologist in Mesa, AZ

Take on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated school psychologist in the Phoenix area. This full-time assignment begins August 6, 2026, and runs through May 27, 2027, in alignment with the school's academic calendar. Your skills will make a difference across several elementary and high school campuses, with specific locations and weekly schedules determined based on assignment needs.

You'll join a collaborative educational team, assessing and supporting the diverse needs of a caseload of around 60 students, with a focus on comprehensive evaluations and impactful student interventions.

Qualifications & Desired Experience

• Valid Arizona Department of Education certificate for school psychologists
• IVP Fingerprint Card required
• Experience in school-based psychological services, including assessments and student consultations
• Familiarity with pen-and-paper evaluation methods
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Synergy is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage caseloads independently and adapt to varying assignment schedules
• Comfortable working on-site; virtual work is not permitted for this position

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for assigned students (approximately 12 evaluations per evaluation day)
• Collaborate with educational staff, teachers, and families to support student success
• Maintain thorough records and report findings in accordance with district policies
• Utilize district software and digital tools for reporting and communication
• Serve as a vital resource within assigned schools, which may include elementary, high school, or special day placements
