Reading Interventionist - K-3rd Grade

BASIS Mesa is seeking a K-3rd Grade Reading Interventionist for the 2026/2027 school year!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Support teachers in analyzing assessment results.
• Plan and collaborate with K-3 teachers to design and implement engaging instruction that leads to reading fluency and comprehension across all content areas.
• Attend weekly planning sessions to identify students needing differentiated instruction and suggest accommodations.
• Provide intervention support to ensure comprehension and fluency in K-3 classrooms.
• Conduct, organize, and analyze ongoing assessments of student performance using multiple assessment tools.
• Model best teaching practices to develop teachers' capacity for support, differentiation, and classroom accommodations.
• Meet regularly with administration and other professionals to discuss student progress.
• Attend parent‑teacher conferences as needed.

• Bachelor's degree with a major (or 24+ credit hours) in the teaching subject; advanced degree preferred.
• Valid fingerprint clearance and/or satisfactory state background check.
• Required credentials to teach in your state or home country, including a state‑authorized subject test.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.

• Specialized knowledge of assessment and diagnosis for developing, implementing, and evaluating literacy programs.
• Graduate studies (Master's or Ph.D.) in subject matter or a Master's in Education.
• Strong communication skills for teaching ideas, texts, and concepts with precision and confidence.
