Overview
A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) invites applications for a full-time faculty member position in the Speech‑Language Pathology Program. The position is open to assistant or associate professors and will be a 12‑month appointment with rank and salary commensurate with academic credentials and experience. The new faculty member will begin in July 2026.
ResponsibilitiesThe primary duty is to serve as director of clinical education, coordinating students’ clinical experiences and ensuring diverse opportunities. Responsibilities also include graduate teaching (on‑campus and virtual), academic advising, oversight of student research projects, maintaining an active research agenda, professional and scholarly activities, and service to the university and community. The role requires dedication to teaching, supervision of clinical placements, and collaboration with clinical and research programs.
QualificationsRequired qualifications include:
- Doctoral degree in communication sciences and disorders or a related field.
- CCC‑SLP certification.
- Eligibility for licensure in the state of Arizona.
Desired qualifications include:
- Expertise in bilingualism and/or bilingual candidates are encouraged.
- Evidence of a commitment to culturally responsive practices in diverse and inclusive contexts.
- Demonstrated commitment to working across disciplinary boundaries.
- Five or more years in clinical practice.
- Experience providing clinical supervision of speech‑language pathology students or clinical fellows.
- Previous academic course design and teaching experience.
- Evidence of scholarly activity and dissemination of research.
