Position Details

Title: Adult HVACR Instructor (Part-Time)

Location: East Valley Institute of Technology – Main Campus, Mesa, AZ

Job Type: Part-Time, Hourly, 10-Month Calendar (July 14, 2026 – June 2027)

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 3:00–8:00 PM

Under general supervision, the HVACR Instructor will prepare students to master the skills needed to become a certified Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration technician. The instructor will train students to install, maintain, and repair home and business heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.

Salary: $34.16 – $54.00 per hour (placement based on education, industry experience, teaching experience, and certification).

The position requires participation in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS) with a regular contribution rate of 11.86% for retirement and 0.14% for Long-Term Disability per pay period. The institution matches the retirement contribution dollar for dollar.

• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable industry experience.
• EPA Certification.
• Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (required by first day of class).
• Proof of immunization against measles and rubella or immunity (if born after January 1, 1957).
