Rate$1400 per contact hour (with a terminal degree) and $1200 per contact hour (without a terminal degree). Compensation is per contact hour and is subject to change based on class size.
Brief Overview of DutiesAdjunct Lecturers teach on a per‑course basis to develop and teach courses focused on the Public Health aspects of the Health Informatics degree. Classes are delivered online and onsite at the two Benedictine campuses in Lisle, Illinois and Mesa, Arizona. Candidates will be required to travel to Lisle or Mesa for a three‑day executive format session (Friday to Sunday) for each course taught.

- Graduate degree and significant experience in a related area from an accredited institution are required.
- Terminal degree (PhD) is preferred.
- For the listed courses, coursework or experience with health‑related databases, electronic health records systems, and health systems in QI, research, or Public Health capacity is required.
- Specific experience with SAS, R, Python, and common EHR systems is desired.
- Experience teaching online or using online platforms is preferred.
- Candidates must be willing to travel for weekend sessions.

Physical RequirementsThe employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, use hands to touch, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds. Use of computer screen, phone and customer service is required. May require bending or sitting for long periods of time. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Following campus-specific guidelines for pandemic protocols is required.
All employees must complete all university‑specific and/or OSHA‑related training to fulfill job duties. Training will be conducted online or in person.
