New Hire Experience Bonus: 1% of base hourly rate for each year of verified experience beyond the requirement, up to 10‑year maximum
New Hire Education Bonus: 1% of base hourly rate for a college degree if not mandatory
Job SummaryMonitor student activities in the cafeteria and playground to ensure safety and welfare, report incidents, assist students during lunch, perform routine cleaning, and respond to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor student activities in the cafeteria and playground.
- Counsel or intervene with students to enforce acceptable behavior.
- Report observations or incidents to school personnel.
- Respond to emergencies.
- Assist students during lunch.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks.
- Maintain mandatory attendance.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience supervising or working with children.
- Self‑definition of MPS graduate attributes.
- Commitment to MPS Promise.
- Manage small student groups.
- Work effectively with students, staff and parents.
- Enforce school and district policies.
- Communicate verbally and in writing.
Physical Requirements
- Occasional lifting and physical activity up to 10 lb.
- Must stoop, kneel, bend, crawl as needed.
- Must use upper body for reaching and handling.
- Must hear conversations and meet vision requirements.
- Must stand and walk continuously.
- Must tolerate outdoor temperature extremes.
