Plumbing Apprenticeship Instructor
Applications are being accepted for a part-time instructor for our Plumbing Apprenticeship program for the 2026/2027 school year, at our campus in Mesa, AZ.
Job Summary:
The Plumbing Apprenticeship instructor provides classroom and work-based learning instruction for secondary, adult, and apprenticeship students. The position is responsible for developing students' technical skills through classroom and lab instruction. This class meets twice a month on Tuesdays from 3:00 - 8:00 pm between August and April (15 total sessions). Salary: $34.16 - 54.00 / Hour. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, teaching experience, and certification.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required. 6,000 hours of recent, verified occupational experience in the plumbing industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Journeyman or Master Plumber license. Experience supervising, mentoring, or training apprentices. Experience with registered apprenticeship programs. Previous teaching, training, or instructional experience. Experience working with secondary students, adult learners, or workforce development programs. Postsecondary coursework in plumbing, construction management, education, or a related field. Industry certifications relevant to plumbing, safety, or construction trades.
Licensing /Certification and Other Requirements:
Valid Arizona Department of Public Safety Identity Verified Prints (IVP) fingerprint clearance card. Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957. Possess a valid driver's license, good driving record. Ability to obtain and maintain the appropriate Arizona Career and Technical Education Teaching Certificate in the area of Industrial and Emerging Technologies.
