Summary
The MFG Document Engineer Intern supports the Sales, Engineering, and
Manufacturing teams by assisting with the creation, review, release, and
maintenance of technical and manufacturing documentation. This internship
provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing documentation, configuration
control, and ERP systems within a regulated production environment.
The intern will work under the guidance of the Manufacturing Document
Engineer Team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to learn how
technical documentation supports production, quality, and customer requirements.

- Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation, formatting, and peer review of Manufacturing
Instructions and technical documentation
Support document control and configuration management processes across
multiple internal systems
Assist with Oracle ERP data entry and updates, including item masters,
routings, and bills of material, under supervision
Coordinate with Sales and Applications Engineering to help review customer
drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness
Support Manufacturing Engineering by documenting production processes and
identifying opportunities for clarity or standardization
Help track documentation status and communicate progress updates to internal
stakeholders
Maintain organized records to support accurate release of production
documentation

- Qualifications / Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently completed an Associate's or Bachelor's degree
in a technical, engineering, or related field (or equivalent
military/occupational experience)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with interest in technical
writing
Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
Ability to follow written instructions and attention to detail
Willingness to learn manufacturing, documentation, and quality processes
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

- Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications
Exposure to manufacturing environments or technical documentation
Familiarity with reading drawings, specifications, or work instructions
Interest or exposure to mechanical or electrical assembly processes
Experience or coursework related to engineering, manufacturing, or quality
systems
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle experience a plus)
Exposure to AS9100 or ISO quality standards
Basic familiarity with 3D modeling or drafting software
