The type of problems include existing product, new products, and/or as-yet-undeveloped ideas that begin to focus more on system or sub-system solutions rather than component specific problems. Support existing production products through VAVE and Continuous Improvement efforts.

Essential Functions
With light direction from more senior engineers, designs complete mechanical systems, products or product families of large scope for products ranging from simple products to complex systems to satisfy customer requirements. this work is preformed on multi-functional development teams.Directs, coordinates, supports and/or audits manufacturing and assembly activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design specifications and customer expectations.Researches and analyzes data such as internal customer product proposals, drawings/specifications, application, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application considering cost, time, and other factors.Predicts test performance based on sound practical working knowledge of engineering practices.Analyzes test data for viability of accuracy and development of products.Increasingly more independently investigates and solves problems that affect scrap, warranty/reliability and product cost for new and/or existing products.Applying practical working knowledge, uses stage gate development methods, engineering tools, and related industry standards.Other
Key Responsibilities May provide technical leadership for a project team.May delegate related work to Mechanical Designers on the team.Plans and directs personnel in fabrication of test equipments and developers methods and procedures for testing products or systems.May preform hands‑on preliminary testing of concepts.Participates in and often directs the hands‑on assembly or prototyping of engineering concepts and/or Alpha build products.Communicates design intent through creations of robust engineering or product specifications and along with the documented spec, provides the necessary guidance to mechanical designers for successful design execution.Demonstrate a strong commitment to LCI's safety and personnel policies.All other responsibilities assigned by management.Working Conditions
