Job Description & How to Apply Below

XNRGY Climate Systems is a North American leader in sustainable design and advanced manufacturing of custom air treatment, thermal management, and liquid cooling systems. We focus on high-performance solutions for data centers, healthcare, clean rooms, life sciences, and other mission-critical environments, driving innovation to reduce carbon footprints and support goals like Net Zero and LEED certification.

We are thrilled to operate our cutting‑edge U.S. Technology headquarters and manufacturing facility in Mesa, Arizona (opened in 2025), reflecting our rapid growth and commitment to sustainable climate solutions.

As part of our U.S. expansion, XNRGY is seeking a highly experienced Lead Manufacturing Engineer - Assembly to join our team on‑site in Mesa, Arizona. Reporting to the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of assembly processes for new and existing products, ensuring maximum efficiency, scalability, quality, and cost‑effectiveness in our high‑volume, custom manufacturing environment.

An overview of your responsibilities!
  • Lead a cross‑functional team of engineers and technicians in developing and implementing robust assembly processes for new and existing products, with a focus on custom HVAC/air handling units, thermal systems, and related assemblies.
  • Facilitate and lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) workshops, collaborating closely with design, product, and R&D engineers to optimize designs for efficient, scalable, cost‑effective, and high‑quality assembly.
  • Define and specify assembly processes, equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automation solutions for new product introductions (NPI).
  • Design and optimize facility layouts, workstations, and material flow to ensure safe, efficient, and lean assembly operations throughout the production floor.
  • Drive quality excellence in assembly by developing PFMEAs, control plans, assembly instructions, and capability studies; ensure processes meet the highest standards for precision and reliability in mission‑critical applications.
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies, including automation, robotics, Industry 4.0 tools, and digital tracking systems to enhance assembly performance.
  • Lead the launch and smooth handover of assembly projects to production teams, including training, validation, and ramp‑up support.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement (e.g., Kaizen/lean principles), and safety within the assembly and manufacturing engineering teams.
What you'll need, among other things!
  • Education
    :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience
: 10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing engineering, with significant focus on assembly processes in complex, custom, or high‑precision environments (e.g., HVAC, automotive, aerospace, or industrial equipment).
  • Proven leadership in Design for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) and New Product Introduction (NPI) programs, including successful launches of assembled products.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with expertise in data analysis, root cause analysis, and data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to coordinate across engineering, production, quality, supply chain, and other departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adapt to fast‑paced, changing priorities in a growing organization.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, AutoCAD) and other design/simulation tools; familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industry 4.0 concepts is a plus.
