Overview

KP Aviation, an international supplier and procurer of aftermarket aviation components and assets, is searching for the next key member of our team! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Technical Manager to support technical evaluations, records reviews, and asset management activities related to aircraft, engines, APUs, and landing gear programs.

The Junior Technical Manager supports technical due diligence, records analysis, and compliance activities for acquisitions, lease transitions, teardown projects, and material asset transactions. This role works closely with Technical, Product Line, Trading, Sales, Acquisitions, Quality, and external customers to assist with technical audits, records organization, and asset evaluations while ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with technical audits and reviews of aircraft, engine, APU, and landing gear records to support acquisitions, asset management, and compliance activities
  • Support pre-purchase technical evaluations and due diligence reviews for aircraft and engine transactions
  • Review and organize airworthiness documentation, including ADs, SBs, MODs, STCs, and maintenance records
  • Assist with back-to-birth (BtB) trace analysis for LLPs, engines, and landing gear components
  • Review OCCM, overhaul records, shop visit documentation, and historical maintenance data
  • Support analysis of structural records, repairs, damage history, and technical condition reports
  • Assist with lease return audits, annual portfolio reviews, and technical compliance projects
  • Help maintain digital records repositories and technical documentation systems
  • Download, organize, and maintain customer‑provided records packages to ensure completeness and accessibility
  • Support internal audits and quality initiatives related to regulatory and customer requirements
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to support asset transitions and technical projects
  • Assist in developing and improving technical records procedures and documentation processes
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of aircraft, engine, APU, and landing gear records and aviation maintenance documentation
  • Understanding of airworthiness regulations and aviation technical documentation
  • Familiarity with LLP traceability, maintenance records, and asset transition documentation
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to review and interpret technical records and maintenance documentation
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and digital document management systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external customers
  • Professionalism and sound judgment when handling sensitive information
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally when required
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team‑oriented environment
