Job Description
Provide engineering support including planning, designing, overseeing fabrication, and fielding special fixtures and machinery for testing of military weapon systems and equipment. Incorporate state‑of‑the‑art technology while adhering to design standards, developing or utilizing existing testing procedures and instrumentation systems. May lead engineering teams and serve as project engineer on major, complex systems within high‑visibility, high‑cost programs. Provide technical direction, review work, and instruct personnel on test conduct, both in field and simulated conditions.
Identify and implement process improvements and upgrades to facilities, equipment, and operating systems. Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
- Must have experience using Solid Works or another 3D CAD program.
- Must demonstrate effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Must pass a pre‑employment drug screening, physical exam, and periodic retests.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment for assigned work tasks.
- Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions, including summer temperatures up to 120°F.
- Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must meet the physical requirements necessary for the operations outlined in the SOPs.
- Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license without special restrictions.
- Must work well in a team setting and maintain professional relationships with all team members and coworkers.
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have dependable transportation and means of communication.
- Must speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must have a well‑mannered customer service attitude.
- Must be willing to cross‑train in other areas.
- Must use downtime effectively to benefit tests, self, and the company.
- Must be punctual, responsible, and dependable.
- Must demonstrate motivation, initiative, and reliability.
- Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to adjust to new or changing instructions.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to follow instructions and company policy.
- Must be able to deliver quality products to the customer and be responsive to their needs.
- Must be safety and security conscious, complying with rules and policies.

- LabVIEW Data Acquisition.
- Experience with additive manufacturing.
- Controls and programming (LabVIEW).
- 5 years of experience with Solid Works or another CAD program.
- 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
- Electronics experience.
- Sheet metal fabrication experience.
- Machining experience.
- Welding experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
- Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
