Manufacturing Quality Engineering (MQE) Intern – a program designed for students graduating in 2026‑2027 who want hands‑on experience in manufacturing quality engineering and process improvement within a fast‑paced aerospace and defense environment.
Responsibilities- Support continuous process improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and documenting quality activities to ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
- Collaborate with design engineering, manufacturing, planning, and other functions to ensure product quality.
- Participate in investigating internal and external quality concerns, working with cross‑functional teams to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Assist in reviewing documentation for completeness and accuracy.
- Support supplier quality efforts by addressing vendor hardware discrepancies.
- Analyze work instructions and procedures for potential errors and failure points.
- Contribute to developing innovative process controls and sustaining improvements.
- Participate in daily management meetings alongside program support teams.
- Support customer‑facing activities such as preparation of lot data packages and first article inspections (FAIs).
- Gain hands‑on exposure on the assembly floor alongside engineering and operations teams.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Junior or senior in 2026 or 2027, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, Industrial, or a related Engineering field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and statistical/data analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to summarize findings in clear reports.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Exposure to quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, Control Plans, or PPAP is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement practices is desirable.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment with a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Due to contractual and regulatory requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. Pac Sci EMC is a U.S. Department of State ITAR‑regulated employer. To comply with ITAR‑controlled contracts, this position requires U.S. citizenship.

The salary range for this position (in local currency) is20.0 – 40.0.
Citizenship and ITAR RequirementsThe essential duties of this position require adherence to U.S. Government export control regulations. Candidates must either be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) or be prepared to collaborate with the company in securing the necessary U.S. government export authorizations.
