Aircraft Maintenance Technician 4 A&P in GAC Mesa

Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 6 years aviation maintenance experience (avionics, electrical, and/or mechanical).
  • A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license required.
  • Valid Driver’s License required.
Job Description
  • Perform maintenance, repair, replacement, and modification of key aircraft components to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including airframes, engine components, landing gear, and electrical components.
  • Coordinate with inspection to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.
  • Complete work-order sign-offs, shift turnovers, and other paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
  • Identify and store customer property and equipment securely; properly tag as required.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and Job Safety Analyses when operating ground support equipment.
  • Operate and oversee use of special support equipment for removal and installation of major components.
  • Coordinate with other departments for overhaul or repair of customer property as needed.
  • Apply 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas.
  • Use and maintain company-provided tools and equipment properly.
  • Coordinate movement of aircraft when required.
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
  • Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of pertinent technical reference materials (maintenance manuals, IPCs, Service Bulletins, structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, ADS, etc.).
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
