Engineering Technician

The Engineering Technician supports the design, development, testing, and release of new products, as well as improvements to existing products. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, manufacturability, and smooth transition from engineering concepts to production.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in resolving technical challenges by performing hands‑on troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and implementing practical solutions under the guidance of engineering staff.
  • Support manufacturing operations by ensuring products are assembled, tested, and verified according to design requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams — including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Production — to support seamless product realization.
  • Participate in product development activities, including building prototypes, performing tests, collecting data, and documenting results.
  • Investigate and resolve manufacturing or assembly issues and assist in implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, including test records, assembly instructions, BOM updates, and component specifications.
  • Support regulatory compliance activities (UL, CRN, etc.) by preparing samples, performing tests, and maintaining documentation as required.

    Skills and Qualifications
    • Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, or a related technical field; or equivalent hands‑on experience.
    • 2–5 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or product support role — HVAC or related industry preferred.
    • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and basic engineering principles.
    • Proficiency with Solid Works for viewing, markup, and basic model/drawing updates.
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
    • Proficiency with tools, test equipment, and basic CAD or drawing interpretation.
    • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and a practical, solution‑oriented mindset.
    • Ability to work hands‑on with prototypes, assemblies, and production equipment.
