Assembly Design Engineer
This is an opportunity for an Assembly Design Engineer to support the development of cable assemblies and interconnect solutions used in demanding aerospace. The role is ideal for someone early in their engineering career who enjoys working with drawings, design details, and hands-on manufacturing support. You will help translate customer requirements into clear, buildable instructions that drive production and ensure design consistency.

Teams work closely across engineering, sales, and production to ensure complex assemblies are manufacturable, reliable, and aligned with customer specifications.

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire.
Assembly Design Engineer Responsibilities:
- Translate customer drawings and requirements into manufacturable assembly instructions
- Support design-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements and standardization efforts
- Assist with prototype development, design updates, and documentation in Solid Works
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and suppliers to resolve design or build issues
- Support troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues identified on the production floor
Schedule: Monday through Friday, flexible daytime hours.
Pay: $70,000 – $85,000 annually
Assembly Design Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related STEM field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Familiarity with Solid Works or similar CAD tools preferred
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
