Attack Systems Engineering Manager

The Boeing Company. Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Systems Engineering Manager to join our Attack Program team in Mesa, AZ. This role provides Systems Engineering support to the Apache AH-64 and AH-6 Little Bird programs, as well as IWA programs.
- Lead a team of employees performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.
- Develop and execute project and process plans.
- Implement policies and procedures and set operational goals.
- Acquire resources for projects and processes.
- Provide technical management of suppliers and lead process improvements.
- Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees.
- Ensure export control compliance requirements are met (U.S. Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15).
- Complete assessment as part of selection process; failure to complete will remove from consideration.
- 3+ years of experience leading projects or teams.
- 5 years of experience working in an engineering discipline.
- External candidates: at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience).
- Internal candidates: at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temporary manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) or completion of the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership".
- Experience with Systems Engineering & Analysis.
- Experience with Requirements Management.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Compensation & BenefitsPay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Typical summary pay range: $141,100-$190,900. Boeing provides eligible employees with a Total Rewards package, including competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, health and life insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, and paid and unpaid time away from work. Specific programs and options may vary based on location, date of hire, and collective bargaining agreements.
