PositionManufacturing Liaison Engineer – Coxsackie, NY (30 minutes south of Albany); intermittent support in Mesa, AZ via virtual and travel. This is a full-time on-site first shift engineering position based at the supplier of Apache tail rotor blades, Ducommun, at their Coxsackie facility. It reports to the manager of Rotor System Engineering for Boeing Attack Helicopters.
Position Responsibilities- Assists in review of non-conforming product, review and enhance manufacturing planning, and spot-check production technician training/skill level.
- Leads Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for quality issues, review tooling condition and effective operation.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or related non-US equivalent.
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
- 3+ years’ experience gathering data and performing RCCA.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical or Materials engineering degree.
- 5+ years of mechanical or materials engineering experience.
- 3+ years of liaison engineering experience.
Level 3: Bachelor with 5+ years related work experience or equivalent. ABET accreditation preferred.
Level 4: Bachelor with 9+ years related work experience or equivalent. ABET accreditation preferred.
Other Requirements- Full-time onsite; must work primarily at Coxsackie location.
- 3-4 month interim U.S. Secret clearance required post-start.
- Ability to obtain U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
- Drug free workplace; will be subjected to drug testing.
- Shift: 1st shift.
- Export Control: U.S. Person required.
Competitive base pay and variable compensation opportunities. Pay ranges are based on experience and market. Typical pay ranges:
- Level 3: $103,700 - $140,300
- Level 4: $126,650 - $171,350
