This position assists with preparing event spaces, setting up and tearing down equipment, supporting event operations, and providing information and assistance to the public. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced, community-focused environment and is comfortable working outdoors and during evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require.

• Assist with the setup and tear-down of special events, including tables, chairs, tents, generators, recreational equipment, and other event materials.
• Transport event equipment, supplies, and materials using City vehicles and trailers, as assigned.
• Maintain and organize Special Event equipment and storage areas.
• Conduct event site visits and assist with monitoring events to help ensure activities are operating safely and efficiently.
• Provide information, directions, and assistance to event attendees, facility patrons, community members, and the general public.
• Assist with organizing and conducting recreation and special event activities.
• Inspect recreational and event equipment to ensure it is in proper working order and meets safety standards.
• Follow established safety procedures, City policies, and event guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation, including attendance, time records, incident reports, and other event-related information.
• Communicate effectively with City staff, event participants, community partners, vendors, volunteers, and the public.
• Assist with general housekeeping and maintaining clean, organized, and safe event areas.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 6 months of experience related to recreation, special events, customer service, or a similar environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift and move event materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and maintain positive working relationships.
• Valid Class D Arizona Driver's License by the hire date.
