Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller with a strong background in cost accounting to oversee financial operations, budgeting, cost analysis, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will manage accounting functions, improve cost controls, support operational efficiency, and provide strategic financial insight to leadership.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee all accounting operations including:
  • General ledger
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • Payroll
  • Month-end and year-end close
  • Lead cost accounting activities including:
  • Product costing
  • Standard costing
  • Variance analysis
  • Inventory valuation
  • Manufacturing cost analysis
  • Prepare and analyze:
  • Cost reports
  • Profitability analysis
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and compliance procedures
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and coordinate physical inventory counts
  • Partner with operations and production teams to improve margins and reduce costs
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • GAAP
  • Tax regulations
  • Support external audits and coordinate with auditors
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting/finance experience, including cost accounting
  • Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
  • ERP systems
  • Inventory management
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with ERP systems such as:
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • Net Suite
  • Microsoft Dynamics
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Preferred Skills
  • Standard costing and variance analysis expertise
  • Budget management and forecasting
  • Process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and executive teams
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
