Clinical Manager (Behavioral Health – Outpatient)
Location: Mesa, AZ – Heritage Location
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
On-Call Rotation
Required:
(Primarily phone-based; in-person only for extreme emergencies)
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Manager with a strong background in behavioral health and substance abuse treatment to lead clinical teams serving high-acuity populations in an outpatient setting
. This is a leadership role within a mission-driven organization that often serves as a critical point of care for individuals referred by state agencies – meaning clinical situations can be complex, crisis-driven, and require strong hands‑on clinical understanding.

Required Clinical BackgroundCandidates must have hands‑on clinical experience in one or more of the following settings:
- Outpatient behavioral health
- Inpatient or residential treatment
- Substance abuse treatment programs
- Crisis stabilization environments
Experience must include direct patient care with individuals experiencing substance use disorders and behavioral health crises

- Crisis intervention experience is required
- Must be able to remain calm and decisive in high‑stress situations
We are seeking a licensed behavioral health professional who is comfortable managing and supporting a diverse clinical team.
Accepted Licenses (AZBBHE – in good standing):
- LAC
- LMSW
- LCSW
- LMFT
- LPC
LISAC/LASAC alone will not be considered unless accompanied by one of the licenses above.
If independently licensed, the Clinical Manager must be able to provide clinical supervision to assigned licensed staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight within an outpatient behavioral health program
- Conduct scheduled clinical staffings and provide unscheduled consultations, including during on‑call shifts
- Review Behavioral Health Assessments and Risk Assessments, providing feedback and BHP sign‑off
- Ensure services are delivered in compliance with:
- Organizational Clinical Policy & Procedure
- Arizona Administrative Code
- ADHS/DBHS Provider Manual
- Code of Federal Regulations
- Contractual and ethical standards
- Deliver required clinical trainings during New Employee Orientation (NEO) and throughout the year
- Partner with the Clinical Director to develop targeted trainings to strengthen staff competencies
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations to ensure programming effectively meets patient and community needs
- Salary Range: $72,769.21 – $80,410 annually
